Since we’ve gotten 501(c)(3) status, we’re a little closer to full operations. Right now we’re held back because our roof must be replaced, but in the next few weeks we’ll build and install our official sign.
In the past, visitors have had trouble finding our location, often driving past on the state road that fronts the institute. The new sign will help stem that problem.
We’ll also be selling eggs, honey, and a few other items. Beneath our sign, we’ve created little placards to show what is currently on sale.
The sign will be built of cedar and hung from a frame held in place with wedged stone. The cedar is to create a long-lasting sign and the stones help us avoid using carbon-dioxide-producing concrete.
