Painting of the Institute Grounds

At our village’s recent 175th anniversary, we bought a painting from Richard Krake, a retired art teacher who paints houses in the area. He had three from our grounds, one of the house and two of the plant life that has proliferated unchecked for about four years. The painting shows our garden shed, two bee hives, potato patch, and some ornamental trees. It was done in the spring and the accompanying picture was just taken today, so the foliage has changed and grown quite a bit. We’ve really enjoyed looking at this painting and thought it was worth sharing. Enjoy!
