Last year's winter wheat is looking strong this spring!
I'm laying cardboard to mulch my #potaotes and I looked over to see my little assistant starting on the next patch.
Release the #queenbee! A few days after installing 3-lb bee packages, we release the queen from here travel cage. By now, the hive has accepted her as their regent.
We're trying the full @charles_dowding #nodig method on one side of the garden. Thanks to the #stimuluscheck for the @purplecoworganics compost. We'll try our usual cardboard with mulched straw on the other side.
#splittingwood by hand and with machine to compare labor, time, cost, and carbon footprint of #woodstove. Stay tuned!
Why yes, you can fit 90 lbs of #bees in a hatchback (with room to spare), much to the surprise of the excellent folks at Heritage Honeybees. My 300,000 new friends made it home safely.
