Skiing and snowshoeing are a great way to get out in the snow. Even if most of us don’t use them as practical transportation anymore, it is fun to pop them on for a quicker trip to the store or a neighbor’s house.
In my ramblings across the internet, I stumbled across a series of videos made in Norway, showing traditional crafts. Episode 2 covers making skis (see a playlist here)! This looks like an approachable project, even if the performance would not be as good as modern synthetic skis. It would certainly be a conversation starter out on the trails.
