Finally, time for the #bees. Looks like they need to be split, with capped #queencells and a strong population.
Day two of #covid #quarantine: our day-old chicks have arrived! We had a hen go broody a while ago, so we just put her in with the chicks, and she will serve as the surrogate. If you've ever raised chicks, you're used to the incessant peeping that they do, but when they're under Mama #hen, they are quiet. We did this last year, and this is by far the best way we have found to raise #chicks, rather than a brooder box.
