Just in time for all your summer projects, we’re opening the tool library this-coming Saturday. The Low Tech Tool Library works just like a book library, but instead of Poe and Austen, we have hammers and saws. This Saturday morning, we’ll officially open the library with some light refreshments and an open house from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. Please feel free to drop by. The library is located in the garage at 11927 W. State Rd. 59, right across from the Cooksville Commons.
If you’re a resident of the Town of Porter or live near Cooksville, you’re welcome to reserve and check out a tool. We’re generally open during normal business hours but it is always best to call ahead (608-886-9584) or fill out the reservation form to insure that someone will be here to give you the tool.
Reservations can be made by filling out the google form linked below. In the form, you’ll be asked for basic contact information and what tools you’re looking for. You’ll also be asked to agree to our simple terms of service.
This community resource is available through the generous donations of tools and money from individuals and the Low Technology Institute. You can support the institute by donating tools, time, and/or funds. Please contact us with any questions or to schedule a pick-up.
